What should I do after an accident?

You should immediately see a physician who can assess your injuries. These doctors will help document your case, provide you with referrals to active rehabilitation providers, and treatment advice.

Why should I go to a Car Accident Doctor?

When you have been in an accident, and are injured, you should always see an experienced medical professional. Car Accident Doctors enjoy doing accident work, and have experience doing them. Many family doctors and other physicians do not have this expertise or have no interest in treating car accident injuries. Will I receive guidance for medical specialists and treatment plans?

Yes. Your doctor will help you with a treatment plan and connect you with proper rehabilitation professionals such as chiropractors, massage therapists and physiotherapists. Through our service, you will receive quicker care than normal estimated wait times.

What does caraccidentdoctors.ca do?

We act as an intermediary to provide physicians with patients they want, and patients with doctors who are well equipped to handle your case. This service is available to everyone.

How much does your service cost?

Our service is 100% free. Our mission is to connect you with the right resources to fully recover.

Should I talk to ICBC?

Beyond starting a claim with ICBC by calling Dial a Claim, you should not give much more information. The doctor will be able to tell you what you need to get better, the right people to see and the course of action you should take. You should not seek advice from ICBC regarding your medical care.

Will my Doctor talk to ICBC?

They will not talk to ICBC without your permission.

Should I hire a lawyer?

We are a medical website, and as such cannot give you any legal advice. After consulting with one of our doctors, it may be a good idea to consider your options and consult with a lawyer for information about the legal process. You should not seek advice from ICBC regarding your legal options.

Is there a cost for this service?

No, there are no associated costs for using our service.

Do I have to take this patient and case on for all purposes?

You do not have to take the patients on as a primary care provider. You can choose to only handle them for the specific car accident case.

How will car accident patients be referred to us?

We have a smooth referral system wherein we will match patients up with you in terms of geography. Once we have matched you up, we will forward the patients information to your office where an appointment will then be set.

Is this referral system sponsored by ICBC?

We are completely independent of ICBC and are not affiliated with them.

Are there opportunities for training?

Yes, there are many opportunities for training and furthering of your skill-set. We are able to help provide assistance for things like report writing and the management of soft tissue injuries and chronic pain.

How is your system connected with other medical specialists?

We do have liaisons with medical specialists that will help expedite the process so your patient can receive optimal care in the event they need a specialists consultation.

For Doctors looking to transfer:

What are the costs?

There are no costs associated with transferring a patient through our service.

Will you transfer patients other than car accident cases?

We only accept car accident patients at this time.

Is your service confidential?

Our service is 100% confidential for all parties involved. We release no information beyond what is given to us from the patient to the providing doctor.

Do you work with ICBC?

No, we are not affiliated with and do not work with ICBC.
